Three households I work with most weeks.
Most enrolments are booked by employers (parents) for their own nanny. Some are self-funded by nannies looking to upskill between roles. Both routes are welcome.
First role with a baby.
She's experienced with toddlers or older kids but the newborn stage is new. The programme starts at week 0 — feeding cues, safe sleep, infant first aid — and builds from there.
Years on the job, no certificate.
Capable with kids, but nothing in writing for your file or the next employer. The CPD certificate at the end is the piece that's been missing.
Newborn arriving on top of toddlers.
Your current nanny has handled the older one beautifully but you want her trained-up on newborn care, infant CPR and the early-weeks routine before the baby arrives.
What graduates walk away with.
CPD-certified, written sign-off
Each nanny graduates with a CPD-aligned certificate and a written skills log — useful for visa applications, employer files and future references.
Infant + child CPR, certified
EFR-aligned CPR and choking response on infant and child manikins. Drilled until automatic — not a slideshow.
Feeding, sleep & routines
Latching support, bottle prep, weaning, age-appropriate naps and bedtime routines. Built for the Dubai household reality.
Responsive, non-punitive care
How to read cues, settle without shouting, and de-escalate big toddler feelings. No cry-it-out, no behaviour-chart shortcuts.
Ten days, built in blocks.
Foundations & responsive care
Newborn biology, attachment, communication with parents, how to take a handover, household safety walk-through, basic hygiene and infection control.
Feeding & sleep
Bottle prep, expressed milk handling, latching support, age-appropriate naps and bedtime routines. Practical work with feeding kit and sleep environments.
Paediatric first aid + infant CPR
EFR-aligned choking, CPR, burns, seizures and bumps — taught with infant and child manikins. Same workshop parents take, taught to working standard.
Toddler behaviour & assessment
Boundaries without shouting, big feelings, the witching hour. Final practical assessment, written skills log, CPD certificate and a one-hour Q&A with the family.
Every place includes.
Upcoming cohorts.
Four things this programme is built on.
CPD-aligned, in writing
Programme structure is mapped to CPD points. Certificates are dated, signed and useful for your nanny's file — not a printable PDF from a course mill.
NICU first, classroom second
I worked NICU for 20+ years before opening the practice. The programme is taught by me — not subcontracted to an external instructor.
Responsive, never punitive
No cry-it-out, no behaviour charts, no shouting techniques. The methods taught are the same I use with families directly.
Built for Dubai households
Multi-staff homes, household languages, the reality of 12-hour shifts and live-in arrangements. Curriculum reflects the job, not a UK textbook.
From an employer.
“Two weeks with Lisa changed everything. Our nanny came back with a written skills log, a CPR certificate and, more importantly, the confidence to make calls on her own without checking with me first.”
The honest answers.
Booking for your nanny? Most of these are the same questions employers ask before sending an enquiry. WhatsApp Lisa if yours isn't covered.
Who is this for — the employer or the nanny?
Both. Most cohorts are booked by employers (parents) for their own nanny — but we also welcome nannies who self-fund or whose agency sponsors them. The teaching style works for either route.
What language is the programme taught in?
English, at a pace and vocabulary that works for nannies who use English as a second or third language. Materials are illustrated and we recap each day in plain English. If your nanny is comfortable with conversational English, she will follow this.
Can my nanny join the next cohort if she's already employed?
Yes — the most common arrangement is that the family covers the programme as part of onboarding, and your nanny attends the two weeks instead of working. Talk to me if your handover dates are tight; I can sometimes flex the start date.
Does this include a separate first aid certificate?
Yes. The infant + child CPR and first aid module on Days 7–8 is the same EFR-aligned curriculum parents take in the standalone workshop, and graduates receive a separate first aid certificate alongside the CPD certificate.
Visa, residency, agency questions?
This is a training programme, not an agency. We don't sponsor visas or place nannies — but the CPD certificate is recognised by most Dubai agencies and useful for any future visa renewal that asks for evidence of formal training.
Refunds and reschedules?
Full refund up to 14 days before the cohort starts. Within 14 days you can move your nanny once to the next available cohort at no charge. If she has to drop out mid-programme for a household emergency, partial credit is offered toward a future cohort.
Properly trained. On paper.
Two weeks. A CPD certificate. An infant CPR qualification. And a written skills log for the family file. Worth every working hour.
